Skin Cancer

The main forms of skin cancer associated with exposure to solar radiation are actinic keratosis, basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma, which is the most dangerous form of skin cancer. Malignant skin lesions are usually found on the sun-exposed parts of the face, scalp, ears, and dorsum of the hands. However, in some cases the lesions may also be found in covered parts of the body.

Systematic examination and dermatoscopy of skin lesions can lead to the early diagnosis of malignant lesions, increasing the chances of successful treatment.
