Mole checks

Mole checking is an examination with a preventive nature, which is recommended to be carried out on an annual basis and preferably during the winter months. In the event that a damage is considered suspicious and its evolution needs to be monitored, the examination is carried out more often.

Self-examination at regular intervals is very important. Of course, if there is a change in the size, shape or color of a pre-existing mole  or the presence of a new mole, you should see your dermatologist.

In the doctor's surgery, the dermatologist checks, both clinically and dermatoscopically, any change in the skin for the presence of special characteristics, based on which the nature of the damage is judged. In addition, there is the possibility of electronic mapping and monitoring of the damage over time.
